South Bucks Talking News
Wycombe Talking Newspaper has been bringing local news to visually impaired people for 40 years since it was founded in 1984. Now it is adopting a new title, South Bucks Talking News, as its listeners are now to be found all across the southern part of Buckinghamshire.
The charity’s volunteers record weekly news articles from the Bucks Free Press and other articles from local journals for distribution across southern Buckinghamshire. Tailored for those with visual impairment or other conditions preventing them from reading, the recordings are sent out to listeners via small USB message sticks in re-usable plastic envelopes so they can keep up to date with local news and activities.
