The Pub Lunch Club project tackles social isolation among older adults, especially in rural areas where there are few local services and poor public transport links. It’s aimed at the over 65s and especially those who may have been missing out on regular social contact.
Pub Lunch Clubs operate on simple premise – a monthly lunch at the village pub, attended by a regular cohort of residents 65+, coordinated by a local volunteer.
Pub Lunch Clubs are community-led and are run by a volunteer co-ordinator with support from Community Impact Bucks.
