Grow Together was set up to benefit local residents in South Bucks. We aim to support residents from all backgrounds, but specifically those in greatest need.
Our objectives are to enhance the lives of individuals, engage with local businesses, improve biodiversity and to protect the environment. By doing this we hope to help people understand the importance of the source of food, and the role that a good diet plays in general wellbeing.
Working with us, our volunteer gardeners grow produce which they harvest and incorporate the home-grown fruit and veg into their diet. Our base is an allotment at Back Lane, which we manage as a community allotment. In addition we encourage reduction of food waste by facilitating other allotment tenants in the locality to donate spare produce to the foodbank and also by urban harvesting.

The all-inclusive and supportive gardening sessions help people learn how to grow all different type of fruit, vegetables and plants, as well as help with jobs such as sowing seeds, watering plants, weeding, laying slabs, painting sheds, and undertaking other tasks that improve the allotment space for all who use it.
The allotment sessions take place every Wednesday in High Wycombe from 11:30am – 1:00pm and are delivered in partnership with The Community Grow Project.
There is no need to book in advance, you can simply turn up on the day, and there is no cost to take part.
The Marlow Wombles, much like the original Wombles, are a group of volunteers, keen to make Marlow better by tidying and gardening where needed. It aims to help the well-being of those involved by providing exercise, socialisation and improving the community!
ith over 200 people benefiting from Accompanied Walks so far, our community outreach project is now firmly embedded as part of the Museum’s wellbeing offer.
The project provides an opportunity for members of the community who have little or no opportunity, or need some encouragement and support, to venture outdoors or interact with other people.
By spending an hour or so in the beautiful surroundings of the Museum, in the company of a friendly and knowledgeable volunteer, learning about our unique collection of heritage buildings and rare breed farm animals, Accompanied Walkers benefit from:
• A dose of ‘Vitamin green’ from being outdoors in a rural setting.
• The security of being in a supervised setting (as opposed to a public park) with toilets.
• A social interaction.
• The knock-on wellbeing benefits associated with the above, such as an increase in confidence, a greater ability to manage existing health conditions, and a diversion from negative thoughts.
• And most likely, pure enjoyment!
