In 2017 a group of people were aware that there were women trapped in this situation in Wycombe, and they were operating right outside the front door of the church’s main facility. We learned a little more about the women, who lead incredibly difficult and dangerous lives, and we prayed for their protection.
In 2018 the church decided to establish a practical ministry to help these women. We agreed to partner with Azalea Luton, an established charity which has been supporting women affected by sex trafficking in Luton since 2009. And we continued to pray.
In April 2021 we began opening a hall (attached to the King’s Church’s main facility) as a drop-in space, where the women could come off the streets and into a welcoming space. We continued to pray.
We have consistently served women with our weekly outreach and we continue to do so. We also continue to pray about every aspect of our vital work.
