Wild Mind Well-Being
Welcome to Wild Mind Well-Being in Buckinghamshire. From our farm between the villages of Bourne End and Flackwell Heath we provide inclusive opportunities for children and young people up to the age of 25 facing diverse health & social care challenges. Our offerings encompass Farm Therapy, Social Care, Work Preparation, Well-Being Coaching, and Educational placements.
Our students are able to study: Animal Care, Construction, Art, Horticulture, Life Skills. Each student also has the opportunity to take part in teen life coaching sessions. Mentors work with our students throughout the day on either a 1:1 or small group basis.
Our alternative provision offers a nurturing and supportive environment tailored for young individuals who may encounter difficulties in traditional learning settings. At Wild Mind Well-Being, young people have the opportunity to enhance their health and well-being while acquiring valuable qualifications and skills. Clients enjoy the therapeutic effects of spending time outdoors, working with a mentor, learning new skills and enjoying time with our rescue animals. For some, our care farm serves as a stepping stone back to mainstream education or towards work.
Referrals to our alternative provision come from various sources, including schools, local authorities, parents, and other agencies. These referrals address a range of needs, such as learning difficulties, disabilities, neurodiversity, behavioural challenges, or mental health concerns.
Whether integrated into Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), incorporated into an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP), or utilised as Alternative Education Provision, our care farm provides a holistic approach to well-being, fostering growth and development in a unique and supportive setting.
