Paula’s Group
Paula’s group is a social and horticultural therapy group, which has been established on plot 10 at Marlow Hanging Hills Allotments.
The group meets every Wednesday from 11-1pm. We grow a wide range of vegetables and flowers in a very supportive and friendly atmosphere. In fact we regard our break for coffee and biscuits to be every bit as important as the growing activities.
The group is for anyone who might be suffering from mental or physical health problems and would like to be part of a group of friends. Social and horticultural therapy is increasingly recognized as a very good way to overcome depression, anxiety and many other ailments.
There is absolutely no need to have any knowledge of gardening.
All tools and equipment are supplied.
Simply turn up and enjoy the sessions whenever you wish.
No payment is required. All the sessions are free.
The group is run by Ron Davis. He has worked as a volunteer and freelance therapist for many years for THRIVE, the national charity for social and horticultural therapy, based in Reading.
If you would like to come along to see whether you might benefit from these activities then please contact Ron Davis who will be glad to speak with you and answer any questions you may have.
