Lindengate is a multi-award winning Nature based Health and Wellbeing Charity based in Wendover, Bucks, at the foot of the Chiltern Hills. Since 2014, and with the support of over 200 volunteers, Lindengate has transformed from a disused allotment site with 2 metre high nettles, to a unique 6 acre secret garden with a Nature Reserve, Ponds, Heritage Orchard, Kitchen Garden and Sensory Garden with sculptures and heritage-based art hidden across the site.
Lindengate@Home (#lindengate@home) is for everyone who might be struggling with their wellbeing and isolation. Our normal structure and balance in life has been seriously disrupted and many of us are having to deal with life changing circumstances in so many different areas.
Memory Pathways is for anyone living with memory loss, or mild to moderate dementia and their carers. The sessions run between 10.30 and 12.30 on the first, third and last Fridays of the month. The group provides the opportunity to meet up with people in similar situations to enjoy nature based activities, make new friends, have a relaxing and stimulating time and get support.
At each session, there are seasonal nature based activities, arts and crafts, singing, reminiscing, poetry and more. Please email Referrals@lindengate.org.uk for initial enquiries.
FACT Bucks, short for Families and Carers Together in Buckinghamshire, is a group of parents and professionals who meet to discuss real issues that affect children and young people with additional needs and disabilities in Buckinghamshire.
At Chiltern we can provide Music Therapy, Neurologic Music Therapy and Community Music services both digitally and in person across England.
We work with people of all ages and needs. We work with people in acute, targeted, rehabilitative and continuing and preventative care. Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a group of behavioral symptoms that include inattentiveness, hyperactivity and impulsiveness. Symptoms of ADHD tend to be noticed at an early age and may become more noticeable when a child’s circumstances change, such as when they start school. Most cases are diagnosed when children are 6 to 12 years old.
Children with autism can have a tough time managing their behavior. Even high functioning children can “meltdown” in situations that would be only mildly challenging to a typical peer. Children with more severe symptoms can get very upset on a daily basis. Meltdowns and anxiety can make it very hard to participate in typical activities or, in some extreme cases, to even leave the house.
